Robins

I first noticed this nest was occupied on April 24, 2011.  I continued to watch it as four chicks grew.  Unfortunately, one chick fell out of the nest and did not survive.  I last saw the three remaining chicks in the nest on May 20.

The lighting varies on each picture as the shots were taken at different times of the day. The chicks grew rapidly with both parents feeding them frequently.

My view of life through the lens of a Canon 7D

This is my journal of photography.  I've always had a camera of some type but have never really focused on photography as anything more than a hobby.  This will be a record of my growth from a fully auto picture taker to a photographer willing to use all the settings on my new Canon 7D.

I purchased my camera equipment on March 16, 2011 from the Imaging Depot in Ogden, Utah.  The Imaging Depot is an awesome shop with friendly and knowledgeable employees.

My gear consist of a Canon 7D purchase mainly for the 8 frames per second as I will be shooting sporting activities. I also purchased two lenses.  The first is a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f3.5 IS.  The other is a Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 IS II USM

These are real pictures without enhancement other than cropping. I believe photography is about taking a good picture not editing a picture until it's good.
